Universal Studios

Thousands of fans flocked to the grand opening of "The Wizarding World of Harry Potter" on Thursday, April 7, 2016.  "Potter" world caps off a major park makeover at Universal Studios Hollywood, a renovation that spanned four years, and remade 75 percent of the park's footprint.  When it came to protecting their patrons, Universal Studios contacted Pacific Netting Products for safety netting under and around the theme park’s roller coasters.  The engineers at PNP designed, built and installed a safety barrier made of ultra-strong ¾” heavy knotted Dyneema netting to protect riders and spectators from flying debris.  In addition, PNP was able to custom match the color of the netting to that of "The Wizarding World of Harry Potter" attraction.

  • ¾” heavy knotted Dyneema netting
  • Custom matched to attraction theme colors
  • Low visibility and high strength for safety
  • Anticipated lifespan: 10 years
